David Palmer

Two time World Champion and multiple British Open Champion, David Palmer former World #1 has become partner and owner of Westchester Squash. David is one of the most successful players of his generation remaining inside the top 10 for 10 years straight. David hails from Australia where he grew up and learnt the game of squash, he now resides in Florida and is actively involved at Westchester Squash. Bryan Patterson, Partner

In his playing career Bryan reached a World Ranking of 16, an English ranking of 2 and played for Great Britain in the Team and Individual World Championships. He also represented England in the Home Countries Championships (England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales) and played in the inaugural Team and Individual European Championships. He won many tournaments around the world including the Central African Championships in Malawi and the Indian Ocean Classic in the Seychelles. Bryan has also won both the World Seniors and the U.S. Over 50 Championships.
As a coach, Bryan was the English Boys Under 19 National Coach, founded the U.S. National Squads program in 1994, and was the U.S. Boys Under 19 National Coach. In 2004, Coach Patterson and Melinda Jsuti were instrumental in starting the Girls and Boys National High School Team Championship Tournament; with more than 120 high schools now competing in five divisions, the National Championship trophies today bear their names- the Justi Cup (boys) and Patterson Cup (girls). Also in 2004, along with Mark Sachvie of the Ontario Squash Association, Bryan started the Battle of the Border, a junior international team competition, held annually at the Whiteoaks Hotel and Resort in Niagara Falls, Canada.
Bryan has been running his Universal Squash camps since 1986 when he started them in Portsmouth UK where he was Head Coach. Since this time the camps have taken place in an ever growing number of countries; USA, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and of course the UK along with tours in Germany, Holland and Canada.
Jason Hicks, Partner

Former PSA World #189, Jason holds the SRA Level 4 Certification, the highest coaching award for the sport.Jason developed a reputation as a coach from an early age and has taught the game for 25 years and most notably he made his mark in home country England, guiding Chipping Norton, his hometown school to 4 straight Junior School National Championships.
He is the former Head Pro at Greenwich Country Club, Mass State 35+ champion and has made significant contributions to Squash programs in the UK, Netherlands, Hartford CT, Boston, MA and New York.
Jason is a partner in the Squash Oasis Management team. He lives in Rye, NY.
Lester Brown, Squash Pro

Lester is a native of Toronto, Canada and began playing squash at the Pine Valley Racquets Club while studying physical education and psychology at York University in Ontario. Quickly taking to the game, Lester began playing in tournaments and reached a ranking of #32 in Canada and then made the decision to become a full time teaching professional. Coaching at Westchester Squash since 2000, Lester works with players of all ages and skill levels, runs numerous clinic and round robin events, and is the club’s tournament director. Lester has over 20 years coaching experience.
Andy Learoyd, Squash Pro

Born and raised in Yorkshire, England, the hot bed of English squash, Andy represented his county at both junior and senior levels. Under the guidance of David Champion, now England’s high performance coach, Andy climbed to a career high world ranking of 151. Andy played extensively on the PSA world tour for five years competing against the best players in the game. Coach Learoyd has over twelve years of coaching experience at all levels- from total beginner right through to top performance players.
Louis Ragou, Squash Pro

Louis hails from Manchester in England and has been a part of the Westchester Squash Team since 2011. He played for the European Squash Federation and reached a U/15 ranking of #160. In Lancashire Louis represented their team from U/13 up to men’s division, as well as playing English Racquetball. In 2007 Louis’ team won the bronze medal at the school National Championships. As a professional Louis has played on both the Professional Squash Association (PSA) circuit as well as the Pro Squash Tour (PST) circuit.
Tertius Raubenheimer

Tertius is from South Africa, where he picked up the game of squash at the age of 12. With 12 years of coaching experience Tertius joins a dynamic team of coaches at Westchester Squash. Early in 2011 Tertius decided to stop playing on the Professional Squash Associations’ (PSA) “World Tour” and has recently started playing on the US based Pro Squash Tour (PST) .Career highlights such as being ranked 138 in the world and being selected for the South African men’s squad in 2009 are just some of his achievements.
Tertius has a keen interest in Speed & Agility programs and helping players reach their potential both on and off the court.
Dean Young, General Manager and Partner

Coach Dean Young is an experienced high school squash and lacrosse team coach, Westchester Squash Club’s director of school and community programs, and the club’s General Manager.
Dean holds a BA in history from the University of Rochester and a Masters in Education from Manhattanville College.
